The Dutch Agricultural Wholesale Board / Flowers and Plants is the knowledge center for the flowertrade in the Netherlands.

The core business of our board is to provide information about and services to our sector, to promote the knowledge of our sector and to mediate between partners in the sector.

At the wholesale board some 25 people work under a secretary who is appointed by a board of management. This board of management consists of representatives of both employers and employees of the Dutch government. All Dutch wholesalers are registered here. Together they finance the wholesale board with a contribution which depends on the amount of flowers and plants they buy in The Netherlands. The board provides all kinds of services from its office building 'de legakker' near to the flowerauction in Aalsmeer.
